BukNau generates every commercial document from the booking itself. An operator never types an invoice, and a traveller never asks for one — they are on the booking page for both sides, and they arrive by email at the moment they matter.
- Invoice — created when you book, in the operator's name, for the booking total. It shows the operator's bank details and your payment reference, and it is the amount your transfer must cover. Once the operator records your payment it reads as Paid. Download it as a PDF from the booking page.
- Receipt — the paid invoice. It arrives with your confirmation email and stays on the booking page.
- Pro forma invoice — for work accounts booking on a purchase order. It is the invoice with the title changed, issued the moment the booking is held so your finance team can raise the PO against it. The real invoice for those bookings is the monthly one.
- Monthly invoice — for organisations an operator bills monthly: one invoice per operator per month, gathering every PO booking in that period.
- Quote — for work accounts only, made from your cart before you commit. It is priced exactly as checkout would price it, holds nothing, carries no bank details, and is valid for 14 days. When approved, one tap rebuilds the cart and books it at the current price — anything that moved is stated first.
Prices on a document never change after the fact. If an operator changes a listing price, bookings already made keep the price they were made at. Tax is calculated by BukNau from the operator's settings and shown on every document the same way.
Refunds are recorded against the booking, not as a new invoice. The booking page shows the amount owed, when the operator marked it sent, and when you confirmed it arrived.
