Most of the stays, tours, hire cars and transfers in Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands are run by local businesses that have never been bookable online. Finding them means knowing someone, and booking them means phone calls, emails and a transfer on trust. BukNau exists to change that: one place where a traveller can see what is available, what it costs, and book it now.
For operators, BukNau is a shop window and a booking desk with nothing to learn. List what you sell, and travellers book and pay you directly by bank transfer. There is no card machine and no software to install — it works from a phone, and during beta it is free.
We are built for the way money already moves here. Bank transfer is the only payment method, bank details only ever appear on the booking page, and an operator is paid before a traveller arrives. Both countries are first-class: every feature works the same in Port Moresby and Honiara.
BukNau is run by BukNau Holdings Limited. It is free for operators and travellers during beta.
